Services

As your postpartum doula, I will give you information so that you can care for your baby with support and the proper instruction. I am available for overnight shifts, similar to how a night nurse works, but there is an emphasis on teaching you how to manage on the nights that I’m not there.
- Breastfeeding options and techniques
- Sleep settling your baby
- relevant resources and refer on when needed
- Create a support/food roster
- Understanding your baby’s cues
- Light meal preparation, light housework
- Debriefing of the birth
- Rest time for Mum and so much more
I take the time to connect with you personally to understand your needs and what specifically will support you best.
Birth debriefing -this provides you with the opportunity to talk about your birth. I will help you to integrate this new little person into your family and help everyone find a way of balancing with an additional member.
I provide support, not only to the mother but to partners, siblings, and other family members. This period of time can come with many unexpected challenges and having someone around to provide support and guidance can be especially useful.
The rest you need to recover
In the early weeks and months of your baby’s life, you might find that it’s a challenge to get enough sleep. For example, newborns usually sleep in short bursts through the day and night. Even as babies and children get older, they can have trouble settling to sleep by themselves. They might wake during the night and need help getting back to sleep.
I have worked frequently with twins both overnight and during the day
Free introductory Consultation
I would love to meet up for a free consultation that suits you.
I provide non-medical support in these important days and weeks following delivery. Most commonly I work daytime visits of about 3-4 hours at a time but am available to offer more hours if needed. Nights are also available on request.
